12.30.11 (7:27pm) The preparation of the course at Green Acres is underway.  The stadium will be tilled first, then tracks set around the course starting at midnight.    UPDATE on Wirth for Sunday:  will be 6-8 (still t.b.d.) x the man-made loop there.   We are depending on the Wirth grooming crew to make the course ready to rock – they will make the call on the best time to groom so it sets up but isn’t too icy.  With all leaders starting at the same time Sunday (Men, Women, Girls HS and Boy HS), it will be an exciting pursuit race to watch and crown the Champion of the Twin Cities!

12.29.11 (7:27am) The Saturday race has been officially moved to Green Acres in Lake Elmo (MAP).   There will be no early bib/packet pickup on Friday this year due to change of venue for Saturday’s race.  Bib pickup/registration will open Saturday morning at 7:30am at the chalet at Green Acres.

12.28.11 (3:57pm) The mass start on Saturday will be oriented into a chevron start (world cup style) with specific start positions.  It will be first come first serve, however the race director holds discretion to move participants around.  Complete info will be given to racers at bib pick up Saturday morning.  This format will help ensure a safe, fair, crash-free start.

12.27.11 (3:07pm) At this point, the 10km mass start Classic race (Saturday) will be moved to Green Acres unless we get a major snow event.  Look for a final decision to be announced here on Thursday 12.29.11.  Wirth races will go as planned on an alternative man-made snow loop.
